Sirohi : President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated the four-day global summit at 9.30 am on Friday in the Diamond Hall of Brahma Kumaris Institute’s Shantivan. During this, many dignitaries including Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Kisanrao Bagde, Cabinet Minister Zoraram Kumawat, Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg and Brahma Kumaris chief Dadi Ratanmohini were present. The President said that man should understand that he is not the owner of this earth, but is responsible for its conservation. He said, we are ‘trustees’ we are not ‘owners’. Therefore, as ‘trustees’ we have to take care of this earth and take it forward. We have to protect this planet with our conscience. He said that today an atmosphere of unrest is prevalent in many parts of the world and human values are being eroded. In such times, the importance of peace and unity is increasing even more. He said that peace is not only external but lies deep in our mind. Only when we are calm can we feel sympathy and love towards others. Therefore, mind, words, actions… everything has to be kept clean.
Spirituality is India’s strong tradition: Bagde
Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde participated in the Global Summit on Clean and Healthy Society through Spirituality in the presence of President Draupadi Murmu at Abu Road on Friday. While presenting his views in the global discussion on this summit organized at Abu Road in Sirohi district, Bagde said that spirituality is a strong tradition of India, through which the better paths of life have been created. He said that spirituality is the morality of life. Creating paths to a clean and healthy life is the power inherent in spirituality.
While discussing the Indian knowledge tradition, he also discussed in detail the human values related to spirituality. He said that spirituality is a part of Indian life. In our culture the emphasis is on becoming a human being rather than an individual. Becoming a human being means living not for yourself but for the entire society. This is the Indian culture, through which a clean and healthy society can be built. Earlier, the Governor visited Rajrishi Adarsh Vatika, the organic farming garden of Brahma Kumari Ashram located on Abu Road. He appreciated the chemical-free farming, production of fruits, vegetables etc. there. He said that organic farming is the only solution to prevent global warming and incurable diseases caused by chemical farming products. Everyone should work together for this. Before this he also planted trees there.
Earlier, the President reached Abu Road at 4.50 pm on Thursday. This is Murmu’s second visit to Abu Road after becoming President. She had reached Manpur airstrip by a special army plane. District administration alert, security arrangements tight
Due to the President’s visit, red lighted vehicles kept running on the streets of Abu Road from morning till evening. The district administration had made special security arrangements from the airstrip to the President’s resting place. For security reasons, all suspicious objects coming in the way or hindering security were removed. Soldiers have been deployed at various places in Shantivan.
