Protest against joint venture in Jaisalmer, 1 hour work boycott announced

Jaisalmer : Officers and employees of Ramgarh Gas Thermal Power Station located in Ramgarh town of Jaisalmer district registered their protest against the joint venture by lighting candles under the banner of Samyukta Sangharsh Samiti. Along with this, work boycott has been announced on Tuesday. Officials of the struggle committee said that joint venture should not be done in the power generation plants of the currently operating Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited. Along with this, the ownership of the newly built power generation plants will remain with Rajasthan Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited. He said that the government should immediately resolve the demands of the electricity workers, otherwise the agitation will be intensified.

Announced a 1-hour work boycott on Tuesday.

Officials and employees of Ramgarh Gas Thermal Power Station located in Ramgarh town of Jaisalmer took out a candle march in the town on Monday night in protest against the joint venture. Expressing opposition to privatization, everyone also announced a work boycott on Tuesday. It is noteworthy that the movement against the joint venture is going on in the state. Employees say that thermal losses are due to public interest schemes of the government. That’s why everyone is together opposing privatization. All the officers and employees expressed concern about their future.
