Jhalawar : Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) Hiralal Nagar, who was on a day-long visit to the district, held a meeting with officials of the Electricity Department and Parwan Major Irrigation Project at Khandiya Power House Conference Hall on Sunday and reviewed the works. In the meeting, the Minister of State for Energy told the officials of the Electricity Department that the State Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, is working to strengthen the electricity system in the state and provide comprehensive facilities in the electricity sector to the farmers and the general public without any disruption. He said that as per the wish of the Chief Minister, all the officers and employees of the Electricity Department should work diligently to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the urban and rural areas of Jhalawar district. During this, Nagar instructed the farmers to provide electricity supply in two blocks as per the scheduled time of irrigation and said that there should be no shutdown at the time of electricity supply in rural areas except in special circumstances. He said that in case of tripping, it should be compensated by providing power supply in additional time. He gave strict instructions to change the functioning of the electricity department in Jhalawar and asked to replace burnt and damaged transformers within 24 to 72 hours. He also said that instead of lifters, other alternative means like tractors etc. should be used for changing transformers, so that more transformers can be changed in less time and the cost can also be reduced.
During the meeting, the Minister of State for Energy gave instructions to the Superintending Engineer of JVVNL to blacklist the contractors who have shown less progress in RDSS and are negligent in repairing power lines and poles in the district. He instructed all the departmental officers that the officers of the Electricity Department should immediately resolve the problems of the common people with full sensitivity and activeness.
Officers should conduct surprise inspection
Nagar said in the meeting that the Superintending Engineer of JVVNL and the Executive Engineers of all the sections should go to the field and do surprise inspection of electrical works, GSSA feeders etc. He said that the feeder which is having frequent faults should be disposed of permanently. He said that the personnel should not be negligent in any way in electrical work, otherwise action will be taken against them. During this, he reviewed the works of Parvan project and gave instructions to the concerned officials to speed up the work. He also reviewed the progress of RDSS, PM Kusum Yojana, PM Surya Ghar Yojana and other schemes and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials. In the meeting, the Minister of State for Energy was informed about the problems related to electricity supply in their areas by MLA Kaluram Meghwal, Govind Ranipuria and representatives of farmers union. He suggested to disseminate the benefits of PM Kusum Yojana and PM Surya Ghar Yojana by organizing block-wise camps and providing benefits to as many farmers as possible. Many people including Divisional Chief Engineer Gajendra Singh Bairwa, Director Technical, SSNehra, JVVNL Superintending Engineer Bishambhar Sahay, former District President of BJP, District President Sanjay Jain, Mukesh Chelawat were present in the meeting.
