Mumbai, November 22 (IANS). Actress and social media sensation Shehnaaz Gill, who has made a place in the industry on her own, has started shooting for a Punjabi film.
The actress, who calls herself ‘Punjab’s Katrina Kaif’, has posted a picture related to the film on social media Instagram.
Shehnaz can be seen holding the clapboard of the film being made under the direction of Amarjeet. In another picture shared, the actress and her entire team are seen doing puja on the set before the shooting.
Shahnaz Gill wrote, “I am very happy and proud to say that from today I have set out on a new journey. Today I am starting the shooting of a Punjabi film with my dream team.”
Amarjeet, the director of this untitled film, has previously directed films like ‘Hausla Rakh’, ‘Saunkan Saunkne’, ‘Kala Shah Kala’, ‘Jhalle’, ‘Babe Bhangra Pounde Ne’.
Shehnaz was recently seen in the track ‘Sajna Ve Sajna’ from the film ‘Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video’. This track was originally from Kareena Kapoor Khan and Rahul Bose’s 2003 film Chameli.
Shehnaz and Rajkumar Rao can be seen in the new version of this song. Divya Kumar had earlier given her voice to this song.
