Rajasthan became number one in the country in terms of these medical facilities, see the list

Jaipur : Rajasthan has secured the first position in the country in terms of medical facilities. Rajasthan has secured the first position in the country in the implementation of the free medicine scheme. The Chief Minister’s Free Medicine Scheme of Rajasthan has achieved this feat by securing the maximum marks overall in other parameters including the number of approved medicines, available rate contract, availability of medicines in various medical institutions among such free medicine schemes operating across the country.

The dashboard compiles information

Neha Giri, Managing Director of Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation, said that Rajasthan has been ranked first in the ranking released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, regarding the operation of the free medicine scheme. The Drugs and Vaccines Distribution System Dashboard was created by the Government of India in April 2019. Through this dashboard, information on the progress of free medicine schemes operated in various states is collected.

Rajasthan secured first position with 76.78 marks

Giri said that as per the information received on the dashboard, Rajasthan has consistently been among the leading states in the operation of the free medicine scheme. In June 2024 also, Rajasthan has secured the first position with 76.78 marks. Telangana has been ranked second with 75 marks. He said that the ranking is determined on the basis of 10 parameters including the number of medical institutions under the scheme, stock of medicines, online supply, quality checking, expiry status of medicines, time taken in supply. 100 marks have been fixed for this. It is noteworthy that 1828 medicines are approved in the free medicine scheme operated in the state.
