Rajasthan’s Finance Minister Diya Kumari has announced the implementation of Lakhpati Yojana in Rajasthan in her budget speech on Wednesday. She said that Lakhpati Didi Yojana will bring change in the lives of women and will increase self-reliance. Earlier its limit was 5 lakhs which has been increased to 15 lakhs. Under the Lakhpati Yojana, after getting approval of the business plan of the self-help group, the eligible women self-help group will first be given training in skill development by the government. After the training, interest free loan will be given by the state government. Now the limit of the amount of this loan will be decided in the state budget.

What is Lakhpati Didi Scheme?
Through the Lakhpati Didi scheme, the Modi government aims to create three crore “Lakhpati Didi” in villages. This scheme has been launched as a comprehensive mission of poverty eradication and economic empowerment. Under this scheme, women will be provided skill training so that they can earn more than Rs 1 lakh per year.
