Rajsamand What kind of grant is this, farmers have to wait for three years

Rajsamand : Rajsamand Farmers are being motivated to use innovative technologies to make good use of every drop of water. Farmers are also adopting them, but due to not getting the grants provided by the government for three years, the farmers are becoming disappointed, frustrated and troubled. The department has written several letters to the headquarters regarding this, but till now the farmers are not getting the grant amount. Under the Per Drop More Crop (PDMC-MI) scheme of the Government of India, farmers are motivated to grow more crops with less water. Under this, grants are provided by the Central and State Government on sprinkler plants, mini sprinklers and drip plants.

The officials of the Horticulture Department motivated the farmers and got sprinkler plants and drip plants etc. installed in the fields. There is a provision to provide grant up to 75 percent in the said scheme. According to experts, 40 percent grant is provided by the state government and 60 percent grant is provided by the central government. Under this, the farmers have received the grant provided by the state government, but the grant provided by the central government has not been received yet. Due to this, farmers are turning to the Horticulture Department for grants. There is no satisfactory answer there. Due to this, farmers have started becoming disillusioned with the scheme.

Drip Irrigation: This saves 50 to 70 percent water. Water is released frequently from a low pressure distribution system consisting of small diameter plastic pipes, called emitters or drippers, directly to the soil surface near the plant. It is useful for horticultural crops.
