Patna, 16 November (IANS). The traffic police has come into action mode against those who repeatedly violate traffic rules on the roads of Patna.
Action has been taken against those who continuously violate the rules. Patna Traffic Police SP Aparajit Lohan spoke to IANS regarding this on Saturday.
He said that in the last six months, it has been seen that more than five thousand people were repeatedly violating traffic rules. Such people have been identified. The traffic police has taken action against 5,591 people for repeatedly violating rules in the last 6 months.
SP said that these are the people against whom challans were issued 5 times in the last six months. Most of these are challans without helmets. We have informed the DTO office to cancel their licenses. Whatever further action will be taken will be taken from the DTO office.
He said that the sole motive behind the action taken by the police is that people repeatedly violate traffic rules. This action is so that he understands and follows the traffic rules.
According to the SP, there are 133 people on whom more than 20 challans have been issued in the last 6 months. The licenses of these people have been sent to the DTO office for cancellation. Looking at these people it seems that they are not worthy of a license. Keeping this in mind, we have taken this action.
