RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Arrives in Assam for Four-Day Visit

Guwahati, May 13: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Assam’s Hojai district on Wednesday under tight security arrangements. His convoy reached the Geeta Ashram in Hojai, where he will stay for the next four days.

In light of Bhagwat’s visit, the police administration has implemented stringent security measures around the ashram and nearby areas. Multiple layers of security have been established, with police forces deployed at sensitive locations.

There was significant activity in the area upon Bhagwat’s arrival, with senior RSS leaders and local workers present to welcome him. According to reports, Bhagwat will participate in the ‘Karyakarta Vikas Varg (Second Year)’ training camp organized in the state. This camp is part of the organization’s cadre development and leadership training program.

The training program will take place at a designated location in Guwahati, with volunteers from various parts of the northeastern region participating. Senior RSS leaders and propagators will also attend sessions during this three-day event.

During his stay, Bhagwat is expected to meet with senior RSS officials from Assam and other northeastern states. The ‘Karyakarta Vikas Varg’ is considered a crucial internal training program of the RSS, aimed at enhancing members’ leadership skills, ideological training, and organizational capabilities.

The second-year camp is specifically for volunteers who have completed the first phase of training. Given Bhagwat’s visit to Guwahati, security measures have been intensified, and the administration is coordinating with organizers to ensure the smooth conduct of the program. This visit will conclude after the training program wraps up on May 15.
