Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had talked about ending the ‘aggravated phase’ of the conflict with Russia in exchange for Ukraine’s membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). This information was given by Ukrainian news agency Interfax.
According to Xinhua news agency, Zelensky said, “If we want to reduce the pace of war, we will have to bring the area of Ukraine, which is under our control, under the umbrella of NATO. We have to do this quickly.” “
Zelensky said that later, Ukraine could diplomatically take back the areas currently under Russian control. He said Ukraine’s internationally recognized borders should be recognized in the NATO invitation.
