Sawai Madhopur : State Women Commission Chairperson Rihana Riyaz Chishti visited Sawai Madhopur today. He organized a district level public hearing program here. In the public hearing programme, he listened to the problems of the complainants and instructed the officials to solve their problems.

Rihanna Riyaz Chishti while talking to the media said that the State Women’s Commission has been hearing cases of women harassment from time to time. In this series, a district level public hearing program was organized in Sawai Madhopur today. There were 34 cases, on all these cases the State Women’s Commission, after listening to all the parties, has given instructions to the concerned officers to settle them. Chishti said that after becoming the chairperson of the State Women’s Commission, about ten thousand cases have been received so far. Out of these, eight thousand cases have been settled by him. He said that cases like domestic violence, women harassment, rape come before the State Women Commission. In these cases, the Women’s Commission takes immediate action and directs the investigating officer to transfer the cases immediately. Women representatives are becoming aware
Regarding encroachment on women’s rights, State Women’s Commission Chairperson Chishti said that in many places, husbands, fathers and brothers are working in place of public representatives. The State Women’s Commission has also written a letter to the state government in this regard. In many cases, women have now become aware of their rights and they are refusing to allow their husbands, fathers, brothers etc. to work in their place.
