Sawai Madhopur : A case of embezzlement of government ration has come to light in Kundera police station area of Sawai Madhopur. The logistics department has lodged a report regarding the matter at Kundera police station. In the report, Enforcement Inspector Pooja Meena said that an investigation report was submitted on May 24 against Bhim Singh Gurjar, fair price shopkeeper, POS machine number 19706. In the investigation report, Bhim Singh Gurjar had refused to take the electronic weighing scale and iris machine being distributed as per the departmental instructions. Due to this irregularity, the license of Bhim Singh Gurjar was suspended on May 28. After the suspension, the fair price shop of Bhim Singh Gurjar was affiliated to Ram Sahay, POS machine number 19798 Gram Panchayat Olwada.
At the time of suspension, 11669.17 kg wheat was present in Bhim Singh’s POS machine number 19706. The fair value of which has not been transferred to the shopkeeper. 11669.17 kg wheat from Bhim Singh Gurjar whose market price is Rs 3 lakh 15 thousand 68. Not transferring it clearly amounts to embezzlement. Which is a clear violation of the conditions of the authorization letter issued under the Rajasthan Foodgrains and Essential Commodities (Regulation of Distribution) Order 1976 and is a punishable offense under Section 3/7 of the Essential Commodities Act 1955. Due to which this case has been registered. At present, Kundera police station has registered the case and started investigation.
