Jaipur : Rajasthan government reached the Supreme Court against former minister Shanti Dhariwal in the single lease case. Rajasthan government presented a new affidavit. A counter affidavit has been filed against the cancellation of prosecution against Shanti Dhariwal in the case. Rajasthan Government’s Additional Advocate General Shivmangal Sharma has filed an affidavit. It has been asked to set aside the order passed earlier in the related case.
Demanded to review the matter
A demand has been made to review the case against Shanti Dhariwal in the trial court. Earlier, an affidavit was presented by the government in the Supreme Court in the related case, in which Shanti Dhariwal was given a clean chit by the government in the related case. Then the Rajasthan government constituted a committee in the matter and asked to present the affidavit again.
Case registered against Shanti Dhariwal in 2014
On June 29, 2022, Jaipur Development Authority had issued a single lease in the name of Shailendra Garg of Ganpati Construction. In 2013, Ramsharan Singh complained to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). When Vasundhara government came to power, on 3 December 2014, a case was registered in ACB against former minister Shanti Dhariwal. The then ACS GS Sandhu, RAS officer Nishkam Diwakar, Zone Deputy Commissioner Ankarmal Saini and others were arrested. ACB interrogated Shanti Dhariwal. After this, when Gehlot government came, Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) gave clean chit to 3 officers including Shanti Dhariwal. But, the ACB court had banned it.
On April 22, 2024, the government gave clean chit to Dhariwal.
After this the accused went to the High Court. The High Court accepted the closure report as correct. The Bhajanlal government, while presenting its reply in the court on 22 April 2024, had given a clean chit to Shanti Dhariwal. After this there was an uproar in the court and now the Bhajanlal government took a U-turn. Now Bhajanlal government said in the Supreme Court that a case is made out against former minister Shanti Dhariwal. The government has also said that a case will be filed against three officials.
