Jaipur : Many districts are still lagging behind in taking advantage of the Chief Minister Higher Education Scholarship Scheme started by the government to increase the graph of higher education in the state. Under this scheme, one lakh selected youth of the state are given scholarship for five years. So far, the maximum applications in this scheme are being made by the youth of Jaipur, Nagaur, Sikar, Churu, Jhunjhunu and Bharatpur. At the same time, the youth of many districts including Karauli, Pratapgarh and Jaisalmer are still lagging behind. Due to minor shortcomings in this scheme, the applications of more than one lakh youth are also being rejected every year. The special thing is that the government announced to give this scholarship to one lakh youth every year, but even once in the last three years the figure has not reached one lakh. Last year, 74 thousand took this scholarship under this scheme.

This scheme was started to increase the graph of higher education. The youth who cannot get higher education due to financial constraints should definitely register in this scheme. Due to lack of awareness, the applications are still very low in many districts. The government should increase the budget of scholarship given to students studying abroad.
