Sirohi News Desk: The severe impact of winter is gaining momentum in Sirohi district. A continuous decline in minimum temperature is being recorded in the hill station Mount Abu. The minimum temperature on Tuesday was recorded near the freezing point. Due to the drop in temperature, the roofs of cars parked outside houses and hotels, grass and dew drops in the plains froze. Snow was seen on the roofs of the cars. People are trying to escape the cold by lighting bonfires. Due to the outbreak of winter in Mount Abu, people’s daily routine has been affected. People remain holed up in their homes for long hours.
Minimum temperature recorded at 1.4 degrees
The direct impact of snowfall in the hilly areas of North India is being seen on Mount Abu, the only hill station of the state. Where icy winds are blowing. Due to which a continuous decline in temperature is being recorded. The minimum temperature of Mount Abu on Tuesday was recorded at 1.4 degrees, which is 3 degrees less than on Monday.
Room heaters started in homes, children and elderly face more problems
Due to the severe cold in Mount Abu, the daily routine of the local people has been affected. People remain holed up in their homes for long hours. Children and the elderly suffer the most due to cold. Local resident Sunil Acharya said that now in the winter season, room heaters have been started in homes in Mount Abu due to which people are trying to escape from the cold.
Tourists are reaching Mount Abu
Amidst the increasing effects of winter, tourists from various states including Gujarat are heading to Mount Abu to enjoy this season. Tourists reaching Mount Abu are enjoying the weather and are also escaping the cold by sipping tea and eating hot dishes.
