So many candidates have filed nominations for Rajasthan by-elections, today is the last day.

Jaipur : Friday is the last day of nomination for by-elections on seven assembly seats of Rajasthan. Just a day before this, on Thursday, the nomination process gained momentum. So far, a total of 37 candidates have filed nominations, out of which 26 submitted nominations on Thursday. According to the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, the maximum number of 13 candidates filed nominations in Dausa, while two each in Ramgarh, Deoli-Uniara and Chaurasi. Candidates have filed nominations. Apart from BJP and Congress candidates, no one else has filed nomination in Ramgarh yet. Apart from this, 7 candidates have filed nominations in Jhunjhunu, 6 in Salumber and 5 in Khinvsar.

Applications for National Media Award-2024 till 10th December

The Election Commission of India has invited applications from media organizations for the National Media Award-2024 till December 10. Awards are given annually by the Commission to media institutions conducting excellent campaigns for voter education and awareness in four categories, which include print media, electronic media, radio channels and online or social media institutions. The award will be presented on the occasion of ‘National Voters’ Day’ on January 25, 2024.

Till now 10 pistols, 7 cartridges and 16 kg explosives have been seized.

During the code of conduct, police seized 10 pistols, 7 cartridges, 14 sharp weapons and 16 kg of explosive substances in the by-election areas. At the same time, 9,966 persons were banned due to unwanted activities. In these areas, out of total 18,554 licensed weapons, 17,212 weapons have been deposited in the police stations, while 18 licensed weapons have been confiscated. These days a total of 49 places are being monitored. 116 vigilance teams are active for this.
