Sriganganagar Ghadsana police arrested a drug smuggler

Sriganganagar : Ghadsana Police, taking major action under the campaign against drugs, arrested a person from village 15 LM with 22 kg 928 grams of Doda Poppy. SHO Kalavati Chaudhary said that the police had received secret information that a person was doing illegal poppy business in village 15 LM.

Based on this information, police searched the house of Baldev Singh (58), son of Subha Singh in village 15 LM. During the search, three plastic bags were found kept in a pile of soft cotton inside the house, in which a total of 22 kg 928 grams of poppy stalk was recovered.

During interrogation, the accused told that he used to buy poppy and supply it in the village. The police arrested the accused on the spot and confiscated the recovered poppy. A case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at Ghadsana police station and investigation has been started.

Head Constable Sher Singh played an important role in this action, while Constable Shankar Lal, Constable Gunjan, Constable Ramkishan and Constable Kishan Singh also cooperated.
