Stolen pistol and cartridges recovered from Ajmer Pushkar fair, five arrested

Ajmer : Ajmer Police has recovered the pistol and live cartridges stolen from the gunman in the Pushkar fair. Five people, including two women, have been arrested from UP in the case. To catch the accused, CCTV and more than a thousand hotels and dhabas were checked. District Superintendent of Police Vandita Rana said – Gunman (constable) Suresh Devanda had lodged a report of theft of government pistol and cartridges in Pushkar police station. It was reported in the report that on November 14 at around 8:30 pm, people were entering the concert of Bollywood singer Kailash Kher through the VIP gate of Pushkar Fair Ground. There was pushing and shoving due to the crowd. Meanwhile, someone had stolen the pistol and 10 cartridges from the magazine.

On the basis of CCTV and informer’s information, five people were found suspicious. On the basis of appearance, footage of vehicles coming and going on Pushkar, Ajmer, Beawar and Kishangarh route was checked. One of the suspicious persons was seen in the parking lot of the railway station. Near which a white colored car was seen going towards Beawar Road. When the CCTV cameras of the route were checked, a suspicious car was seen at Beawar Toll. According to the route of the suspicious vehicle, while checking the CCTV cameras, it reached Gegal, Kishangarh, Jaipur, Gurgaon and Delhi. Observed cameras in Delhi, Agra, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh and Chhatarpur, Jhansi, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Shamli, Uttar Pradesh. Checked more than 1000 hotels and dhabas. Then five suspicious persons were found on Shamli Uttar Pradesh Highway. When interrogated, he confessed to theft. Under their guidance, government pistols and ten live ammunitions hidden in Pushkar were recovered. Criminal cases are registered against the accused in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. About whom information is being sought.
