Jaipur : Government teachers have now opened a front against the Bhajanlal government for the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in Rajasthan. Under the leadership of Rajasthan Teachers Federation, on October 18, a state level protest will be held at Shaheed Memorial Park, Jaipur with the one-point demand of maintaining OPS as it is in Rajasthan. This protest has the support of various organizations.
State President of Rajasthan Teachers Federation, Shyam Sundar Sharma said that since the announcement of the Unified Pension Scheme by the Central Government on August 24, the employees of Rajasthan are in a state of confusion. After a long struggle in Rajasthan, the previous government abolished NPS for the employees appointed after 2004 from April 1, 2022 and restored OPS and the employees are demanding to keep it as it is.

New Pension Scheme in Jaipur with the help of many organizations including Employees Federation of Rajasthan, All Rajasthan Prabodhak Sangh, Rajasthan Teachers Association Shekhawat, National Old Pension Restoration United Front, All Rajasthan Lab Technician Association, All Rajasthan Serving Doctors Association, Nurses Association, Veterinary Employees Association. Dharna will be held with cooperation.
