The area of these 8 gram panchayats will be affected due to Sikar delimitation.

Sikar : wards were increased from 50 to 65 in 2019: There are 65 wards in Sikar Municipal Council. This number was increased in 2019. Before the 2014 elections, there were 45 wards. After this the number of wards increased to 50. These 15 wards were increased by expanding the urban boundary area.

Wards will not be divided into two police station areas: According to the instructions of the Autonomous Government Department, delimitation will also be done along with urban expansion. Under this, there will be changes in the boundaries of the existing 65 wards. The demarcation of these wards will be such that they do not fall between two police station areas. That means the boundary of one ward will fall within one police station area only. With this, there will be no confusion regarding the border area between police stations in case any crime or incident occurs.

There will be reorganization of wards in the city council after five years. Civic elections will now be held as per the new notification. In such a situation, urban expansion will also affect the upcoming civic elections. Under the new orders, a proposal for delimitation of wards will be prepared by December 30. After this, objections and suggestions will be invited on the delimitation proposal till January 19, 2025.

From January 20 to February 8, ward formation proposals along with comments on objections and suggestions will be sent to the state government. Objections and suggestions will be resolved and approved at the state government level from February 9 to March 1. In the delimitation of wards, the areas of eight gram panchayats around the city will be affected. These include Radhakishanpura, Shivsinghpura, Gokulpura, Chandpura, Nani, Sabalpura, Bhairupura and Kudli gram panchayats. The areas of these gram panchayats have been included in the city council. According to the proposal, the populated area inside the Ring Road passing outside Sikar can be merged into the Municipal Council. The area in front of Sodhani Farm House on Piprali Road, the area inside Jaipur-Bikaner Bypass on Dhod Road, inside the bypass intersection on Nawalgarh Road can be taken within the scope of delimitation. There is a possibility of including part of Gokulpura and Chandpura Panchayat on Jaipur-Bikaner bypass. ^Sikar already has 65 wards. There is no point in delimitation right now. This is just an attempt to postpone the elections. The government’s guidelines are also not clear. It needs amendment.
