Jaipur : Bisalpur Dam is eager to overflow for the seventh time. This has created an atmosphere of happiness among the farmers as well as the people. The administration has also started preparations to open the gates of Bisalpur Dam. The gates of the dam can be opened by Thursday evening or Friday morning. It is believed that the administration will issue an alert in the villages near Banas located downstream of the dam from today. According to the dam project, along with the rain in Rajsamand, Chittorgarh and Bhilwara districts falling in the catchment area, the inflow of water from the nearby area is continuous. Now only 0.39 RL water is required for the dam to overflow. The gauge of Triveni located in Bigod of Bhilwara district, which helps in filling the dam with water, is continuously increasing on Thursday and is running at 4.20 meters till 8 am. In such a situation, there is hope that Bisalpur Dam will overflow soon.
The dam gates may open by today evening or tomorrow morning
The total water level of Bisalpur dam is 315.50 RL meter. It has a water level of 38.703 TMC. By 8 am on Thursday, the gauge was 315.11 RL meter. At the same time, 35.963 TMC water has been filled. In such a situation, the gates of the dam can be opened by Thursday evening or Friday morning. The administration is also busy in preparations to open the gates of Bisalpur dam.
The dam will overflow for the 7th time
After the dam is built, this time it will overflow for the 7th time after getting fully filled with water. Earlier, the dam has overflowed after getting fully filled with water in 2004, 2006, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2022. Now it is on the verge of overflowing in 2024. 21 thousand 300 hectares of land gets submerged in the full water of the dam. A total of 68 villages get submerged in this. In which 25 villages get completely submerged, while 43 villages get partially submerged, in which only agricultural land gets submerged.
