Nagaur : Students who stay away from their home in a rented room in another city for studies will be given Rs 20,000 as reimbursement amount every year by the state government. Applications from students are being taken for the academic session 2024-25. Applications will be taken till 30 November. On the basis of selection, 5500 students will be able to get the benefit of this scheme for ten months.

Under Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme, students of SC, ST, OBC, MBC, EWS and minority categories who are studying in graduation and post graduation (academic courses in Arts, Science and Commerce Faculty) in all the government colleges running at district headquarters and away from home. Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme is being run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment for those who live on rent at other places. Under the scheme, Rs 2,000 per month (for 10 months) will be given to those students till March every year as reimbursement amount for accommodation, food and electricity and water facilities. The operation of this scheme has been started for the students studying in the academic session. Applications are being taken under this from October 30. Applications will be taken till 30 November.

The online portal is being operated from October 30 for the application for the academic session 2024-25 of Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme, run by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Which will run till 30th November. Under the scheme, eligible students can apply through SSO ID on e-Mitra.
This is the eligibility condition
To avail the benefit of Ambedkar DBT Voucher Scheme, it is necessary for the student to be a native of Rajasthan. According to the matriculation scholarship scheme run by the department, the annual income of the parents of the students has been determined at Rs 2.50 lakh for AC, ST, ACBC, Rs 1.50 lakh for OBC, Rs 1 lakh for EWS. If the student is studying in the same city as his/her parents, he/she will not be eligible for this scheme.
