Barmer : the more a person stumbles, the more he recovers. This truth is true for Girdhar Singh Randa of Rajasthan who is working as a Gram Vikas Adhikari. It was not easy for him to get a job. He got the job in his 22nd attempt. Before this, he failed 21 times. He is the first person in his relatives and family to get a government job.

Graduation from Barmer College

He hails from a small village called Undkha in Barmer district of Rajasthan. He was born on 1 July 1993 to farmer Basant Singh. He has two sons and four daughters. However, one of them has died. Girdhar completed his early education in the village itself. And after completing his graduation from a college located at Barmer headquarters, he started preparing for a government job.

Exams were given from constable to officer

After completing his graduation in 2013, he gave a total of 21 exams in Rajasthan including Roadways Bus Conductor, Home Guard, Police Constable, Bank Peon, Bank PO, Forester, Forest Guard, Patwari, LDC, Gram Panchayat Assistant. Finally, he passed the Gram Vikas Adhikari exam.

First grandmother, two uncles and then brother committed suicide

Girdhar says that farming was the main source of income for the family. But it was difficult to run the household with that money. Due to financial crisis, first grandmother and then two uncles committed suicide. His elder brother Raghuman Singh also committed suicide by pouring kerosene on himself. Since then Girdhar had decided that no matter what, the condition of the family has to change. Then what, he kept working hard and today he has reached this position.
