Jaipur : In the budget session of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Thursday, Animal Husbandry Minister Zoraram Kumawat presented his views on the annual reports of ‘Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Union Limited’ from the year 2018-19 to 2021-22 on the assembly table. He expressed his views on topics ranging from corruption in dairy, adulteration, recruitments, mobile veterinary unit, financial strength to Chief Minister Dudh Sambal Yojana.

Corruption and adulteration will not be tolerated under any circumstances – Minister Zoraram Kumawat
He said that corruption and adulteration in the dairy business will not be tolerated under any circumstances. And if any case comes to light regarding this, strict action will be taken on it. Along with this, he also talked about expanding the dairy business. He said that through this, economic empowerment of farmers, women and youth will be possible. For this, the network of milk producing cooperatives will be expanded from village to village. Along with this, the minister said that emphasis has also been laid on reducing corruption in the Chief Minister Dudh Sambal Yojana. He told that for this, the subsidy of Rs 5 per liter given under this scheme is now being transferred directly to the account of the animal husbandry through DBT, due to which there is no scope for corruption. Through this, an amount of Rs 525 crore has been paid so far.
Information given about insurance scheme and economic empowerment
Cabinet Minister Kumawat also gave information about the insurance scheme and economic empowerment. He said that the state government is working with commitment towards the development of dairy and economic empowerment of livestock farmers. In this connection, it is also considering expanding the scope of the insurance scheme in the interest of livestock farmers, under which all animals will be insured.
Instructions for filling vacant posts in veterinary hospitals
The animal insurance scheme introduced by the previous government had failed. He also shared information about the recruitment to the vacant posts in veterinary hospitals. He said that his government will soon recruit to the vacant posts in veterinary hospitals. Also, the recruitment cases of 900 veterinarians pending in the court will be settled and appointments will be given soon.
Apart from this, he also told about the mobile veterinary unit that the state government has so far started 536 mobile veterinary units in the entire state. For this, a call center will soon be started, on calling on which the mobile veterinary unit will reach the livestock owner’s house for treatment without any delay.
