Due to the virus named Chandipura, the death of many children one after the other has created an atmosphere of panic in the district adjacent to Gujarat. At the same time, there is panic in Rajasthan due to the suspicious death of 4 children in the last 5 days. On Friday also, 2 children were admitted to the Medical College Hospital of Dungarpur. It is believed that symptoms of Chandipura virus have been found in both these children. However, right now the health department has sent the samples of both the children for examination. Confirmation will be possible only after the report comes. In view of the danger of Chandipura virus, the health department has become alert in Udaipur and Dungarpur.

The administration is on alert mode regarding Chandipura Virus after 2 suspected children were admitted to the Medical College Hospital of Dungarpur. According to the family members, the children have been admitted to the hospital complaining of vomiting, diarrhea and fever. The health department has sent the samples of both the children for testing. The disease will be confirmed only after the report comes. Let us tell you that in the last 5 days, 4 children have died under suspicious circumstances. Out of which 3 children are from Simalwara area of ​​Dungarpur district and one child is from Kalyanpur of Udaipur. Health agencies across the state are on alert due to increasing infection. Children aged 9-14 years are most likely to be affected by this virus.

What is Chandipura Virus?

This is not a new virus. Its first case was reported in 1965 in Chandipur in Nagpur district of Maharashtra. Some areas of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh are affected by this virus. It is an RNA virus. Due to its infection, the patient becomes a victim of encephalitis. It spreads through vectors like mosquitoes and flies.
