Three quintals and 72 kg of doda poppy seized from Pratapgarh pickup, accused absconding

The value of the seized drugs is estimated to be around Rs 55 lakh. District Superintendent of Police Vineet Kumar Bansal said that these days, on the instructions of the police headquarters, information is secretly collected about wanted criminals, drug, alcohol and arms smugglers etc. and surveillance is being done on them. Is being kept. This area was being patrolled by Chhotisadri police on Saturday night.

During this time, a pickup with Madhya Pradesh number was seen coming at Teen Munda intersection and Karunda intersection. Seeing the police arrest, two youths ran away in the darkness from the pickup. The police team chased the two fleeing persons, but the smugglers disappeared from sight in the dark, over hills and pits. During search of the pickup, 372 kg of illegal doda powder filled in 19 bags was found. Illegal opium powder and pickup were seized and a case was registered in NDPS. The police is searching for the absconding smugglers. In this action, the special role of Head Constable Mahavir Singh and Constable Narendra Patidar, ASI Nirbhay Singh and Head Constable Sohan Yadav and Constable Manoj Yadav of AGTFA team were commendable. Chhotisadri SHO Tejkaran Charan has registered a case under the NDPS Act and is investigating the matter.
