Kolkata, April 29: TMC MP Sayoni Ghosh has launched a strong attack on the BJP, asserting that their claims of victory are merely a facade. She emphasized that the people of Bengal stand firmly with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, and the election results will reflect this mandate clearly.
Speaking after casting her vote in Kolkata, Ghosh stated that Mamata Banerjee, dressed in a white saree and sandals, is walking alongside the people of Bengal. She remarked that the BJP must project confidence, but their claims are just a show, as the faces of Bengal’s citizens reveal their readiness to bring Mamata Banerjee back to power.
On the deployment of central security forces, Ghosh criticized the BJP for fabricating a narrative to suit their agenda. She expressed support for free and fair elections, stating that there is no need for violence since the people of Bengal are with Mamata Banerjee. Ghosh noted the heavy presence of CRPF forces, likening the situation to a war zone, and asserted that the BJP is losing its grip in Bengal.
She further accused the BJP of attempting to infiltrate Bengal’s power structure through various means, including the misuse of agencies and intimidation tactics against genuine voters. Ghosh highlighted the deployment of observers from states like Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh, who lack understanding of local culture and language. Despite these challenges, she reiterated that Mamata Banerjee remains steadfast with the people.
