Tonk: Bail hearing of Samravata case prisoners to be held on Thursday

Tonk News Desk: The hearing on the bail of 42 people arrested in the case of stone pelting and disturbance on the day of by-election in Samravata of Tonk district started in the District and Sessions Court today, but since the police file in this case was not complete, the court has now December 5 has been fixed for the full hearing. Now this case will be heard on December 5.

It should be noted that voting for the assembly by-election was taking place on 13 November. In Samravata the villagers were boycotting the voting and sitting on dharna. Its independent candidate Naresh Meena had also sat on strike supporting the villagers. During this, independent candidate Naresh Meena slapped sector in-charge (Malpura SDM) Amit Chaudhary, accusing him of forcibly casting his vote. After this, during the arrest of Naresh Meena on the same night, there was lathicharge, stone pelting and arson.

Police had arrested more than 50 people including Naresh Meena in this case. Then he was sent to jail by court order. In this case, four minors got bail two days ago. On Monday, the bail hearing of 42 prisoners was held. Due to the police not completing the file, now 5th date has been given for further hearing. Advocate Salim Suri appeared on behalf of the prisoners.
