Tonk : The hearing on Meena’s bail plea has once again been postponed for the second time till January 4, 2025. Now the hearing in this case will be held on January 4. DJ Court APP Rajesh Gurjar said that the DJ Court judge has set the new date of hearing as January 4, 2025, after Naresh Meena’s advocate asked for more time for arguments. Earlier also the bail hearing was to be held on December 17. Even at that time, Meena’s lawyer had asked for time for arguments. On this, the judge extended the hearing by five days to December 23. In such a situation, the case was to be heard today, but once again Naresh Meena’s lawyer asked for time for arguments. On this, for the second time the judge has extended 12 more days.

Let it be known that voting was held for the by-election of Deoli Uniara Assembly on 13 November. In this, the people of Samravata village had boycotted the voting demanding inclusion of their village in Uniara subdivision office. Naresh Meena, who was an independent candidate at that time, had also sat on a dharna with the villagers, saying that their demands were reasonable. That afternoon, Naresh Meena had slapped SDM Amit Chaudhary, accusing three people of forcibly voting despite the voting boycott. The next day the police arrested Naresh Meena from the protest site.
