In a joint action between Tonk : Kotwali police station and district DST team, a bike rider was arrested with smack on National Highway 52 on Friday. 49 grams of smack, Rs 3800 and a bike have been seized from his possession. This action created panic among smugglers involved in illegal drug trade.
Kotwali police station officer Bhanwarlal Vaishnav said that as per the orders of Superintendent of Police Vikas Sangwan, patrolling and informers have been made more active to take action against illegal drugs in the police station area.
In this context, today afternoon, Kotwali police station, with the help of the district DST team, found a bike rider passing in front of Om Toyota showroom located near National Highway 52. When he seemed suspicious, he was stopped and searched and 49 grams of smack was found in his possession. When inquired about this, he did not give any answer nor did he show any document related to this. Later it was confiscated. Then Rs 3800 kept in his pocket and a bike were seized from him and the accused bike rider Faheem son of Wahid Khan Pathan, resident of Forest Department Colony Tonk was arrested. The police have registered a case against the accused and started action. The police are now trying to find out the leader of this business.
