Dholpur : A tragic incident took place in Dholpur district of Rajasthan on Thursday night. In Maharajpur village of Sarmathura police station area, a high tension electric wire broke and fell on a young man sleeping on the roof, in which he died a painful death due to burns. When the family members climbed the roof and saw it early Friday morning, they were shocked. According to the news, the high tension wire was lying on top of the young man. Seeing the incident, the family members started screaming. A crowd of villagers gathered at the spot. The police reached the spot and took the dead body into custody and kept it in the mortuary of the hospital.
The youth has been identified as 38-year-old Bhairo Singh, son of Badan Singh. A high tension line passes in front of his house. Around 1:30 in the night, after a blast in the insulator, the wire broke and fell on the youth sleeping on the cot. Due to which the youth died on the spot. There is silence in the village after the incident. The family members are inconsolable. The deceased is said to be the father of four daughters and two sons.
Action will be taken after investigation of the matter
The police has kept the body in the morgue of Sarmathura Government Community Health Center. Police station in-charge Gaurav Kumar said that the youth died due to electric shock. Postmortem of the deceased will be conducted. The electricity department has also been informed about the incident, after which further investigation will be done in the case and legal action will be taken.
The family is demanding compensation
The family is said to be in a very poor financial condition. The relatives are demanding compensation from the Electricity Corporation for the family of the deceased.
