Hanumangarh News Desk: The two-day sports meet began ceremoniously on Friday at Little Flower Convent School, Junction. The chief guest of the inauguration ceremony was ADM Ummedilal Meena. The program was presided over by school principal Father Shibin Augustine and manager Father Shan. The program started with a prayer for world peace by the guests. The sports meet started with the hoisting of the sports flag and the salute of the sports flag by the children’s parade.
During the sports meet, tremendous energy was seen among the players on the sports field. A total of more than 900 students from four houses of the school participated in the said competition. On the first day, 100 meter, 200 meter and 400 meter running competition, javelin throw, kabaddi, high jump, long jump, cricket, badminton, skating, swimming and other competitions took place. ADM Ummedilal Meena said that sports has great importance in life.
Sports have a huge contribution in empowering the youth mentally, physically and spiritually for a strong nation. Sports activities double the work power of students. School Principal Father Shibin Augustine said in his message that the sports meet has been specially organized before the examination, so that the children feel free from the burden and stress of the examination and work in the right direction with the strength of both body and mind. So that along with the revision in classes, children can also be entertained.
