Jaipur : Galta Gate police station has arrested two fake drug inspectors who were demanding money from a medical shop in exchange for not taking action against it. The police are interrogating both the accused.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Jaipur North, Rashmi Dogra Dodi, informed that the Galta Gate police station has arrested fake drug inspectors Chetan Sharma and Arun Sharma alias Sunil Sharma, residents of Ramgarh Mod, Kagdiwada, Brahmapuri, who were demanding money from the owner of a medical shop in the Galta Gate area by threatening to take action against the shop. According to the information received by the police, the two accused reached a medical store located in the Galta Gate area on the evening of May 26 for recovery and threatened the operator to demand Rs 25,000 in exchange for not taking action against the shop. The victim informed the police about the matter immediately. Taking the matter seriously, the police identified and arrested both the accused. During interrogation, both the accused confessed to demanding money and threatening.
The police said that the two accused had reached the medical store as customers and had identified the store and asked the salesman for an MTP kit. After that, the criminals would signal and call their other partner. The second accused, posing as a drug inspector, would demand money in exchange for not taking action. If the medical store operator did not give money, he would be taken in his car to different places and threatened.
