Udaipur : The car of the friends who were returning home after visiting the temple fell into the pond. The culvert from which the car fell while trying to save a cow that suddenly came in front did not have a safety wall. There were five people in the car, out of which three managed to get out, but two died in agony. Both the friends were 25 years old and were friends for many years. The incident is from Kherwada police station area of Udaipur district.
Both of them had gone to worship at Balaji temple in Udaipur
Kherwada police station said that after offering prayers at a Balaji temple located in Rishabhdev area at some distance from Udaipur, 7 friends were coming in two cars on Sunday night. Five of them were in a car, while two were sitting in a jeep running behind. One of the friends sitting in the back has filed a case today at the police station.
He himself died…but he saved the cow
Police said that Chirag, Tilkesh, Tarun, Dinesh and Anil were in the car in front. The car was passing through a culvert in Kherwada area at around 9:30 pm, when suddenly a cow came in front. Chirag, who was driving the car, turned the car to the side to save the cow, but due to the absence of a safety wall there, the car fell off the road. The three friends were somehow pulled out, but by then two had died.
The father of both of them retired a few days ago
Police said that the last rites of both the friends were performed today. Tilakeshwar’s father is a retired videographer, while Chirag’s father has retired from the post of first class teacher. Both of them retired a few days ago. While both their sons were about 25 years old and preparations for their marriage were going on.
