Deoria : Two girls were burnt after being thrown flammable substance by two unidentified bike-borne men in Gauri Bazar police station area of Deoria on Thursday.
The incident took place when the two girls were going to a hospital on a bicycle. The accused threw the flammable substance on them and fled the scene.
The girls were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. They are said to be in critical condition.
Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma has directed the police to arrest the accused at the earliest.
