Jaipur : Rajasthan is famous for serving food worth crores of rupees in weddings. But now such marriages are also taking place in which there is no trace of rice or dowry. One such big event has taken place, in which the entire wedding has been organized for just one rupee. 11 couples have got married and only Rs 11 have been taken from them for the wedding expenses.
11 couples got married for just 1 rupee
Here 11 couples from the Muslim community have accepted marriage for just Re 1. The aim of these couples is only one thing – to stop unnecessary expenditure in marriage and to make it easier for every person to get married. Actually, this wedding was organized in Jodhpur by Marwar Sheikh, Syed Mughal and Pathan Development Committee. This was the tenth event organized by the committee and included 11 couples. All of them got married for just one rupee.
This item was given to the newly married couple
Committee Chairman Sikandar Khan says that this event has been organized as a step to make an important occasion like marriage easy and accessible in the society. In which, with public support, the newly married couple has been given cupboards, utensils and other items. It will be our endeavor to get 51 couples married here next year.
Public support deposited Rs 50 lakh
Sikandar told that mass marriages were organized by the committee nine times in 9 years. More than Rs 50 lakh has been spent on this. This is possible with everyone’s cooperation. Because currently we see that a lot of money is spent in weddings. But it is not necessary that everyone’s financial condition is the same.
