Banswara : Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam will implement the utility billing system in the district from January 1. Under this, in collaboration with UBS firm, on-spot meter readings and photos will be taken and bills will be generated from the machine and given to the consumers.

On Monday, a meeting was held between the Assistant Revenue Officer and Ledger Keeper working in the Sub-Divisional Office under the Circle Office of the Corporation, Banswara, regarding the new arrangement. In the meeting, Superintending Engineer Bhagwandas told that with this system, about 3 lakh 35 thousand electricity consumers of the district will get electricity bills along with meter reading. Currently, electricity bills come every two months, with this system there will now be monthly billing. With this, consumers will not have to visit the office for wrong meter reading, bill correction etc.
Electricity bill can be deposited on the spot
Also, there will be no complaint of not receiving the bill on time. In this system, if the consumer wishes, he can deposit the bill immediately to the employee. On this occasion, the representative of BCITS company gave information about the software. Executive Engineer PS Nayak, Accounts Officer Suresh Menaria, Kalpesh Dave, Shailesh Meena and Nodal Officer Nikhil Bhavsar Assistant Engineer (IT) were present in the meeting.
