Villagers angry with Bhilwara police action demonstrated at the police station

Bhilwara : A large number of villagers demonstrated outside the police station on Wednesday in Meja village of Bhilwara, alleging that no action was taken after the death of a married woman two days ago. They allege that no concrete action is being taken by the police. The father of the deceased had lodged a report suspecting the murder of his daughter. The matter is of Mandal police station area. Two days ago, villagers of Meja village, angry over no action being taken after the death of their married woman, gathered and demanded hanging of the murderer. People demonstrated vigorously by shouting slogans.

After the protest that lasted for about an hour, the anger of the villagers calmed down after the advice of police station in-charge Sanjay Gurjar and assurance of strict action. On receiving information that the body of married woman Kanta Meghvanshi (30), living in Balai Mohalla of Meja village of Mandal police station area, was hanged, Mandal police station reached the spot and took down the body of the woman from the noose and kept it in the mortuary of Mandal Hospital. The woman’s father Bherulal has given a report to the police, in which he told that his daughter Kanta was married to Bheru, who lives in Balai Kheda. The daughter told that her son-in-law Bheru used to abuse and beat her every day. He strongly suspects that his daughter has been murdered.
