Rajasthan : Continuous rain has been continuing in Rajasthan since the entry of monsoon. Due to rain, rivers and streams are overflowing in many districts. At the same time, many people have died in rain-related accidents. It rained this morning in many places including the capital Jaipur. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in 13 districts of the state today. However, the continuous heavy rain after the arrival of monsoon will stop today. But, a period of heavy rain will start again from July 10.
In the last 24 hours, light to moderate rainfall was recorded at many places in eastern Rajasthan and some places in western Rajasthan. Heavy rain was recorded at some places in Churu, Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Dausa, Karauli, Jaipur, Dungarpur districts. Highest rainfall in eastern Rajasthan in the last 24 hours was recorded at Surot, Karauli at 137 mm and in western Rajasthan, Taranagar, Churu at 141 mm. Apart from this, 84 mm rain was recorded in Sriganganagar and 41.6 mm rain was recorded in Pilani.
Rain alert in these districts today
The Meteorological Center Jaipur has issued a yellow alert for rain in 13 districts of the state today. There is a possibility of rain at some places in Dausa, Alwar, Jaisalmer, Hanumangarh, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Nagaur, Jhalawar, Kota and Baran districts. Apart from this, winds will blow at a speed of 20 to 30 km per hour along with thunder and lightning.
