Jaipur : During the question hour in the budget session of Rajasthan Legislative Assembly on Friday, when Shanti Kumar Dhariwal asked a question on Great Indian Bustard conservation, Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma commented on Dhariwal’s age, then Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani was seen in an interesting manner.
‘Dhariwal is 19 years young’
During the Question Hour, Shanti Dhariwal said that the government had announced to build a tunnel for the conservation of Great Indian Bustard in the budget. Has the DPR of that project been prepared? Minister Sanjay Sharma said in his reply that the most senior member of the House, Shanti Dhariwal, is concerned about the conservation of wildlife even at the age of 81. This is commendable. On this, Speaker Devnani said, ‘His age is not 81 years, but 19 years. If 81 years are subtracted from 100, 19 remains. Dhariwal is still young at 19 years.’
‘A budget of Rs 8 crore was given’
The minister said that a budget of 8 crores has been given for the tunnel. Work will start soon. On this, Shanti Dhariwal asked how much land has been made available for Godavan conservation? On this, Minister Sanjay Sharma, without naming the Leader of Opposition, said pointing towards him, ‘The government is trying, but some people are encroaching upon forest and river land.’ Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie asked Minister Sanjay to answer the question, then Sanjay Sharma said that the Leader of Opposition has a habit of interfering in every matter.
How many dams will be connected to which village?
Apart from this, when the issue of connecting the villages of Kathumar to ERCP was raised today, Water Supply Minister Suresh Singh Rawat said that the DPR of the PKC project is being prepared at the level of the Government of India. Only after the complete blueprint is prepared, it will be clear which villages will be included in the scheme. When Dharmpal MLA Ramesh Khinchi was not satisfied with the minister’s answer, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie said that he is not giving information about the MoU to the House, but he should tell how many villages and how many dams are being connected. The minister said that he will be able to tell only after preparing the DPR.
BJP will open de-addiction centre
Apart from this, the demand to open a de-addiction centre in Hanumangarh was also raised in the House. Bhadra MLA Sanjeev Beniwal said that illegal de-addiction centres are running without approval. Instead of de-addiction, people are being exploited. Recently, a person was beaten to death in a de-addiction centre. Will action be taken against them? Minister Avinash Gehlot said that strict action will be taken against the NGOs running de-addiction centres without approval. A committee will be formed and an investigation will be conducted. Minister Avinash Gehlot said that the previous Congress government did not open a single de-addiction centre. The announcement was made in Hanumangarh too, but the de-addiction centre was not opened. The BJP government will open de-addiction centres in this financial year.
A committee was formed to control pollution.
MLA Virendra Singh Kharwa raised questions about air pollution from factories in Beawar and said that the arrangements have changed, but the investigating officers are still the same. Minister Sanjay Sharma said that action will be taken against the concerned factories by giving them notice and action will be taken to remove them from there. The minister also announced the formation of a committee to stop pollution in the House.
‘We will get the damaged tubewell repaired’
During the Question Hour, the issue of faulty tubewells in Khetri was also raised. MLA Dharampal Gurjar said that there is a problem of drinking water in Khetri due to the hills and drought. The number of tubewells and hand pumps is not sufficient. Minister Kanhaiya Lal Chaudhary said that till now all the tubewells that were faulty were not maintained. Whatever tubewells have failed will be repaired.
Action on illegal construction
Similarly, MLA Hakam Ali raised the issue of action against illegal construction in Fatehpur Nagar Parishad area. UDH Minister said that action has been taken on complaints of illegal construction. By giving instructions to the officials, the problem arising on the public road will be resolved.
When a question was asked in the House about the vacant posts of lecturers in Rajakheda College, Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa said that recruitment is coming and your problem will be solved soon. While asking about the repair of Suratgarh’s Ferozepur feeder, MLA Dungar Ram said that our water is going to Pakistan. Minister Suresh Singh Rawat said that water goes to Pakistan due to rain.
Money will be increased in the widow marriage gift scheme
When MLA Ramnivas Gavadia asked about the beneficiaries of the Widow Marriage Gift Scheme in Parbatsar, Minister Avinash Gehlot said that the amount of the scheme was increased to Rs 51,000 in 2019. Currently, 22 lakh women in the state are getting widow pension. The money will be increased after considering the Widow Marriage Gift Scheme.
