Rajasthan : As soon as the monsoon coming from the Bay of Bengal became active, its effect is being seen in Rajasthan. The pre-monsoon period started in the state from Thursday. At the same time, the heat wave period has now ended. On the very first day of the start of pre-monsoon, it rained in most of the districts. Jaipur recorded the highest rainfall of 17 mm. Director of Meteorological Center Jaipur Radheshyam Sharma said that with the activation of monsoon coming from the Bay of Bengal, there are now signs of monsoon arriving on time in Rajasthan. Monsoon will enter Rajasthan from Udaipur and Kota between 26 and 28 June. He said that before this, pre-monsoon activities will continue in the state. The Meteorological Center has issued a yellow alert for rain in all the districts.

Day temperature dropped in districts

Due to rain activities, the day temperature in the districts has dropped. There has been a drop of two to three degrees. The highest day temperature of 42.7 degrees was recorded in Pilani. Apart from this, 42.2 degrees were recorded in Vanasthali, 42.5 in Jaisalmer, 42.4 in Phalodi, 42.6 in Ganganagar, 42.3 degrees in Sangaria.

73 percent less rain in Rajasthan

The weather department has forecast normal pre-monsoon and monsoon rains in the next fortnight. Currently, Rajasthan has received 73 percent less rainfall. Rajasthan should have received 25.1 mm rainfall from June 1 to June 20, but only 6.8 mm rainfall has occurred. Normal rainfall has been predicted in eastern and western Rajasthan in the next week.

Rain brought relief from the heat, 17 mm of rain

People in the capital Jaipur, who were suffering from heat for many days, got relief on Thursday afternoon. Suddenly, rain started in the city after 1 pm and it kept on going off and on. Heavy rain started after 3 pm. It rained in JLN Marg, Malviya Nagar, C Scheme, Ajmer Road, Sodalala, MI Road, Parkota and other areas of the city. Water filled on the roads. The temperature dropped after the rain. The day temperature on Thursday was recorded at 38 degrees. Whereas, the minimum night temperature was recorded at 32 degrees. Thus, a difference of six degrees was seen in the day and night temperature.
