Bharatpur : A pregnant woman admitted in a private hospital located at Damdama Road in Bayana town of Bharatpur district gave birth to a strange baby. This baby, born through premature delivery, has four arms and four legs. Hospital operators said that Rania, wife of Lakhan Gurjar, a resident of Etmadpur village in the subdivision area, was admitted on Tuesday after being referred from another hospital. By doing maternal sonography, the congenital deformity was revealed even before the birth of the child.
The birth of such a special newborn is an extremely rare condition. Only one in 50,000 babies have this unique condition. The type of problem faced by a child born today is called cephalothyracophagus in the language of medical science. This condition occurs when cells in the embryo do not divide properly during development. Which results in the birth of such babies. In this particular case of delivery, the doctors opted for caesarean section. Because this type of delivery usually cannot be done in a natural way. The newborn died shortly after birth.
