Beijing, 24 November (IANS). Recently, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the 19th G-20 summit in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. Here he held bilateral talks with leaders of different countries.
During the summit, Xi emphasized China’s vision and plans for equitable global development and reform of global governance. He advocated cooperation with different countries to promote a more just and sustainable world. This culminated in the adoption of the Rio Declaration, which was highly praised by the international community.
Hoffmann, chairman of Brazil’s Labor Party, said President Xi’s influence is widely recognized. Both China and Brazil are committed to taking determined steps to eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities and achieve inclusive growth around the world.

Sharif Ghali, director of the Center for the Study of Modern China-Africa Relations at the University of Abuja in Nigeria, said that within the framework of the G-20, President Xi and leaders of other developing countries have undertaken to represent the interests of the global South and promote G-20 development.
