Dausa : Kotwali police station and district special team of Dausa have arrested an accused with illegal weapons and live cartridges. Police station incharge Hiralal Saini said – Information was received that a young man is roaming in suspicious condition on Ayodhya Nagar Haripura Road, who may have an illegal weapon.
When ASI Hetram May Japte of Kotwali police station reached the spot, seeing the police, the young man tried to run away and was caught after laying siege. On enquiry, he revealed his name to be Ashok Kumar alias Ganni Meena, resident of Sirra ki Dhani.
On searching it, a 315 bore country made pistol and live cartridges were found in his possession. During police interrogation, the accused said that he did not have a license for the weapon, on which the police recovered the country-made pistol and registered a case under the Arms Act and started investigation.
The team of district special team consisting of head constables Pradeep Kumar, Lokesh Vijay, Ghanshyam, Vishambhar Dayal, Balkesh, Rajendra, Rajulal, Rakesh and Kotwali police station constables Brijraj, Siyaram and Hemraj was successful in arresting the accused.
