Jackie Shroff Remembers Legends of Music and Cinema

Mumbai, February 4: Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff has once again showcased his unique style in the film industry, which sets him apart from many of his contemporaries. While numerous artists tend to focus on their personal lives or film promotions, Shroff frequently pays tribute to Indian Music, vintage artists, and memorable figures from the past. On Wednesday, he took to Instagram to honor classical music, share beautiful cinematic memories, and express respect for legendary artists.

Shroff first remembered the great Hindustani classical singer Pandit Bhimsen Joshi on his death anniversary. He shared heartfelt images of Joshi on his Instagram story, accompanied by the renowned bhajan ‘Majhe Maaher Pandhari’ playing in the background.

Following this, he celebrated the birthday of the famous actress Urmila Matondkar by sharing a lovely video featuring various pictures of her, showcasing her smile and innocence. The video was set to the iconic song ‘Tanha Tanha Yahan Pe Jeena’ from the film ‘Rangeela,’ one of Matondkar’s most memorable movies.

Moreover, Shroff paid tribute to the legendary dancer and actor Bhagwan Dada on his 24th death anniversary. He shared a short clip of Dada, featuring his hit song ‘Shola Jo Bhadke.’

Recently, Shroff celebrated his 69th birthday, receiving warm wishes from his daughter Krishna Shroff, director Subhash Ghai, Suniel Shetty, and several other actors via social media.

Krishna Shroff shared a black-and-white photograph of her father, writing, “Happy Birthday, my protector. Papa, I love you with all my heart and always will.”

Suniel Shetty posted a special picture with Shroff on his Instagram story, stating, “Happy birthday to my hero… My Dada, your heart is bigger than your legendary personality, and your warmth is rarer than your swag. I am grateful for your love and madness. Love you, Dada.”

Subhash Ghai also extended birthday wishes, writing, “Happy Birthday, my dear Jackie…” He included a special poem for Shroff, beginning with, “Honor is not about having a big father; honor is about standing on your own feet…” Ghai concluded with, “With love and blessings.”
