Witness to JMM Leaders Murder Shot Dead in Palamu

Medinipur, April 3: In a shocking incident late Thursday night, a young man was shot dead in a market in the city area of Medinipur, Palamu district, Jharkhand. The victim has been identified as Mohammad Sameer, also known as Guddu Khalifa, a resident of Kund Mohalla.

According to police reports, Guddu Khalifa was a key witness in the murder case of JMM leader Ladla Hasan, also known as Laddoo Khan. The primary suspect in this latest shooting is Faiz Khan, a resident of Muslim Nagar in the city. The incident occurred around 11 PM when Faiz Khan, accompanied by his associates, arrived at Shatabdi Market and opened fire on Sameer. The sudden gunfire caused panic in the busy market area.

Local residents rushed the injured Sameer to Medinirai Medical College Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by doctors. Preliminary investigations suggest that this murder is linked to old enmities and the testimony related to the earlier case. Faiz Khan has a history of involvement in the murder of JMM leader Laddoo Khan and had previously served time in jail for that case. Sameer was a witness in that trial.

Authorities suspect that this incident was premeditated to prevent Sameer from testifying in court. Jyotilal Rajwar, the officer in charge of the city police station, confirmed that a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against Faiz Khan and two unidentified accomplices.

Special police teams are actively conducting raids at potential hideouts to apprehend the suspects. Following the incident, security has been heightened in sensitive areas of the city, with police forces deployed as a precaution. The violent occurrence in a crowded area has instilled fear among local businesses and residents. Police officials assert that all suspects will be apprehended soon.
