Ram Temple Built with Collective Efforts, Responsibility of Ram Rajya Lies with Society: Mohan Bhagwat

Nagpur, April 27: A grand honor ceremony was organized by the Dr. Hedgewar Memorial Committee in Nagpur, where notable contributors to the construction of the magnificent Ram Temple at the Ram Janmabhoomi were recognized. The event commenced with floral tributes to the statue of Bharat Mata. Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, Chief of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, revered Govinddev Giri Maharaj, Committee President Suresh ‘Bhaiyaji’ Joshi, and Vice President Shridhar Gadge.

In his address, Mohan Bhagwat emphasized that the temple was built with the collective effort of many, stating, “As long as everyone contributes, the divine will rise.” He noted that the upliftment of Sanatan Dharma is essential for the progress of India, a sentiment echoed by Yogi Aurobindo 150 years ago. He explained that just as each contribution strengthens the resolve, the temple’s construction symbolizes a larger movement.

Bhagwat reflected on India’s journey towards self-realization, mentioning that the nation has undergone significant changes since the 1857 uprising and the recent Lok Sabha elections under Narendra Modi’s leadership. He asserted that the construction of the temple was not merely a decision but a collective effort involving every individual in the country.

He further stated, “India must rise, but what does India represent? Is it merely a geographical entity? The movement for the temple was monumental, and without the right people in power, it would not have materialized.” He highlighted that the temple’s foundation was laid with the contributions of countless individuals, showcasing the divine intervention in the process.

Bhagwat reiterated the need for India to stand as a beacon of faith for the world, recalling the humble beginnings of the RSS, which lacked resources but thrived on faith and commitment. He remarked that today, it is widely accepted that India is a Hindu nation, a fact that was once ridiculed.

Bhaiyaji Joshi added that the temple is not just a religious site but a symbol of pride and restoration for Hindu society. He noted that the movement has sparked nationwide awareness and serves as a focal point for millions of believers. Champat Rai shared interesting technical aspects of the temple’s construction, emphasizing minimal use of iron and cement to ensure durability for a millennium, achieved through the collaboration of artisans, engineers, and institutions across the country, with support from approximately 100 million people.
