Piyush Goyal Meets LVMH Group to Boost Investment and Production in India

New Delhi, May 8: India‘s Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal held a significant meeting with Mr. Vincent Estoux, the International Relations Director of LVMH Group Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. The discussion focused on strengthening manufacturing in India, increasing exports, investing in local talent, promoting Indian culture globally, and advancing a balanced trade partnership beneficial for both parties.

Minister Goyal shared on social media platform X, “Had a productive meeting with Mr. Vincent Estoux from LVMH Group Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Our discussions centered on enhancing manufacturing in India to boost exports, investing in local talent, promoting Indian culture through collaboration, and fostering a balanced and mutually beneficial trade partnership.”

Earlier, Minister Goyal met with senior officials from the French beauty and personal care company L’Oréal Group. The talks revolved around strengthening sourcing, manufacturing, and exports from India.

Goyal noted that he met with a delegation led by Mr. Vishmay Sharma, President of L’Oréal Group for South Asia, Pacific, Middle East, and North Africa. The meeting extensively discussed opportunities to increase production and exports from India.

He highlighted that L’Oréal recently launched the world’s largest Beauty Tech Global Capacity Center in Hyderabad, paving the way for new opportunities in India’s beauty and personal care sector. Earlier this year, the French cosmetics company announced an initial investment of approximately $383.4 million to establish a Beauty Tech and Innovation Hub in Hyderabad.
