New Delhi, February 5: In a significant crackdown, the Delhi Police have arrested all suspects involved in an Assault incident that occurred in the Mahrauli area of South Delhi. On February 3, the Mahrauli police station received a PCR call reporting an assault on an individual near Anupam Apartments on Ignou Road, Saket. A police team promptly responded to the scene.
The injured individual was identified as Mukesh (26), a resident of Sangam Vihar, and immediate medical assistance was provided. He was initially admitted to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital for treatment, but due to the severity of his condition, he was later referred to the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
Following a swift investigation, police discovered that four individuals had collectively attacked Mukesh. Given the seriousness of the incident, an FIR was registered under sections 110/79/126(2)/3(5) of the Indian Penal Code. The investigation was prioritized, and special teams were formed to identify and apprehend the suspects.
According to a press release from the Delhi Police, a precise strategy and coordinated efforts led to the quick identification and arrest of all four accused. Police officials confirmed that further investigations are ongoing, with a thorough examination of other aspects related to the incident.
The arrested suspects include Vishal Rawat (26), son of Balram Singh Rawat; Jatin (20), son of Rakesh Gupta; Sonu (25), son of Shahzad Ali; and Vivek (20). All suspects were apprehended in the Sangam Vihar area.
