Anupam Kher Fulfills Friendship Duty for Satish Kaushiks Daughter

Mumbai, March 9: The bond of friendship can be so strong that it transcends even death. Anupam Kher is exemplifying this sentiment as he continues to honor his late friend Satish Kaushik.

After Kaushik’s passing in 2023, Kher has taken on the role of a guardian for Kaushik’s daughter, Vanshika. Recently, he attended her school to support her and boost her confidence.

Kher and Kaushik shared a long-standing friendship, having collaborated on numerous films. In a heartfelt gesture, Kher is looking after Vanshika as if she were his own daughter. He shared a video on Instagram featuring himself with Vanshika, expressing his amazement at her acting skills during a stage show at her school.

In the video, Kher recounted how Vanshika suddenly began delivering dialogues in front of him, leaving him nervous. He described attending her school event and watching her perform in a street play as one of the greatest joys of his life. He reminisced about performing street plays with Kaushik in Delhi years ago, praising Vanshika as a talented and hardworking actress. Kher expressed his eagerness to attend all her future events.

It is worth noting that Kher and Kaushik’s friendship began at the National School of Drama, where they learned theatre together and later worked in films. In 2009, Kaushik ventured into film direction with “Tere Sang,” produced by Kher, which also featured Neena Gupta in a significant role. The duo has appeared in countless films together, including “Guru Dakshina,” “Hawai Dada,” “Agah,” “Thikana,” and “Kagaz-2.”
